Employability Bootcamp with Swansea University

Team #ENTRYLEVELBOSS, along with TikTok career coach and author Alexa Shoen, are carrying out an exclusive employability bootcamp just for Swansea University students.


What's involved?

The bootcamp, which includes 6 group sessions and 3 private 1:1 sessions, will cover

  • Employment myths

  • Exploring what kind of work you’d enjoy

  • Identifying key skills for those roles

  • Networking + Social Media

  • CVs and Cover Letters

You'll also work on creating your own 'DIY internship' to build helpful skills, quickly that you can add onto your CV.

This year the programme runs from 29 March to 22 April 2022. If you need to know the exact dates, please drop Sally a line to ask.

Who should apply?

Any Swansea University student from any course is welcome to apply. This programme is specifically designed for those feeling like they have no obvious career path (and feel like they need to decide soon!).

About Alexa

Alexa Shoen is the internet’s leading confidant for panicking 20-something job seekers. She is a writer, global technology leader, career growth expert, and the founder of #ENTRYLEVELBOSS.

Before signing a book deal with St. Martin’s Press (US/CAN) and Scribe Publications (UK/ANZ) for a how-to manual about the job search, she was a senior product strategist at Facebook, tasked with building the company’s multi-billion-dollar advertising business. Alexa is a beneficiary of the United Kingdom’s Exceptional Talent (Technology) visa scheme, a prestigious immigration route awarded to just 200 world-leading technologists annually. She’s also an acclaimed independent jazz vocalist and holds a Master of Vocal Jazz Performance, First-Class Honors, from Leeds College of Music.


About Sally

Sally Lloyd is the Sales + Operations Director at #ENTRYLEVELBOSS, a Swansea University alum (2003) she began her career as an Executive Assistant and after winning Scottish PA of the Year in 2016, she moved across to Operations and Sales at CodeBase, the UK's leading Start-Up incubator before finally landing at #ENTRYLEVELBOSS. With nearly 20 years experience Sally has worked within many sectors (global executive search, international events, charities, arts and festivals) and has gained significant experience in recruitment, team onboarding, HR and operations. She knows what it's like to start at the bottom and work her way up and loves helping people at the start of their career.
